Branding for a new line of palette grouped paints from Sherwin Williams
Objective: Sherwin Williams wanted to launch a new product line of premium interior paint to attract new buyers and DIY’ers to their stores. The line includes built in color selection so that the customer doesn’t have to go back in forth in comparison to know if their color scheme works well together.
Approach: I named the product line “Virtuoso” because I wanted consumers to feel like they have total confidence and control over their home with color choice. As a consumer myself, I always found myself frustrated with the color selection process. A line of paint can have busy colorful packaging that never represents the pigment inside of the can. Because the Virtuoso line comes in pre built palettes I was able to design a can with the actual paint color on full display. I also created several banner concepts that can be adapted to digital and print platforms.
